Ethical AI Integration Agreement
How AI is used in Coders Over Borders virtual computer science classes
Responsible and Purposeful AI Utilization
AI tools will be used as educational help to improve teaching, make problem solving easier and help students understand computer science ideas. People must use AI to add to, not replace, independent thinking, creativity and building programming skills.
Academic Integrity and Original Work
Students must keep honesty when using AI-generated content, such as code, explanations and project materials. AI-generated work must not be shown as original without giving proper credit. Instructors may set rules about AI use and ask students to say how much AI helped in their work.
Data Privacy and Information Security
People must not put, upload or share confidential, identifiable or sensitive information into AI platforms without permission. This includes student records, login passwords, private messages and exclusive coursework. All AI tools must follow privacy rules and Coders Over Borders data protection policies.
Human Oversight and Accountability
AI information, explanations and programming answers must be checked for correctness, trustworthiness and possible mistakes. Instructors keep responsibility for teaching, testing and teaching decisions. Students stay responsible for understanding, checking and defending AI-assisted work they submit.
Fairness, Inclusivity and Responsible Conduct
AI tools must be used to give learning chances and respect everyone no matter their background, ability or tech skill level. People should not use AI to create harassing or harmful content. Instructors should watch for differences in students' AI access and make sure AI use does not create an unfair advantage.
Transparency and Continuous Ethical Improvement
People must be clear about AI use during learning. Coders Over Borders can change AI rules as technology changes, new ethical issues arise and teaching practices evolve. Everyone must stay aware of these rules and follow new changes.
Agreement
By joining Coders Over Borders virtual computer science classes, people agree they have read, understood and will follow the six clauses in this agreement. Not following them may lead to school or administrative action in line with policies.
